b. 22/08/1821 Hayes to Robert and Ann Rebecca. In police records this is given as 1822 but appears to be an error.
Living with Robert and Ann Rebecca in 1841 census at Botwell as an Agricultural Labourer.
m. 07/11/1841 as a minor to Frances Toovey at Ealing Parish Church (assumed to be St. Marys) with address given as Old Brentford.
Living at Botwell, Hayes for Thomas' birth (Labourer) and Ann b. 4q 1847.
Joined the Metropolitan Police "S" Division (Hampstead) Warrant No. 24875 as a constable on 25/10/1847, recommended by Rev. G.C. Hall & Mr Thomas Shackle both of Hayes Mddx. (MEPO 4/334).
In 1849 & 1851, sons William & Robert were christened at St Pancras respectively (IGI).
10/1849 at Durham St, Agar Town, St. Pancras when his brother Benjamin died.
At 6 Georgiana St, Camden Town for Roberts birth late 1851 but at neither place in March 1851 census.
Jane born at Barnet in 1853. At Union Street in 1861 with his mother as well.
Promoted to Sergeant 14/01/1862. Discharged on health grounds on 20/11/1866, when still living in Union Street, Barnet. (see notes re discharge)
Not at Barnet in 1871 and probably moved to Battersea area but not yet found.
In 1871 on the marriage of Thomas, his occupation was given as "Chapel Keeper.
At 9 Balfern Street (off Castle Lane) in 1881 census with Fanny and Jane. A "Police Pensioner & Chapel Keeper"
At 75 Castle Street, Wandsworth when Fanny died in 1883.
d. 18/04/1911 when at (30?) Allfarthing Lane Wandsworth aged 89 buried at St. Marys, Hayes, (see notes re grave. "Misses Pooley" i.e. Annie and Jane appear here first in the 1898 directory (not in 1896) and obviously occupied this until the last of the two died in 1934.

This Marriage was solemnized between us John Pooley and Frances Tovey in the presence of John Reed and Jane Pooley x her mark.
Registration District Brentford.
Described on son Thomas Pooley,s Birth Certificate in 1845 as a Labourer (Hayes).
Described on son Robert Pooley,s Birth Certificate in 1851 as a Policeman living at 6 Georgiana Street, Camden Town.
Described as a Chapelkeeper on son Thomas Pooley's Marriage Certificate in 1871 in Pimlico.
Described as a Superanuated Police Constable on son Robert Pooley's Marriage Certificate in 1875 in Blean, Kent
