- Martha Norwood 1689 Considering the origins of the writer of this will took some unravelling but my conclusion that it is that of Martha Norwood nee Bowbanke born ? who married Michael Norwood 29th November 1640 at St Peter.
There is no reference to children in the will so it appears there are no surviving children of the marriage ( her son Michael died 1681) but there are many references to cousins in this Will across several generations again supporting her knowing the families over several generations, this may help define the ancestry of the St Peter Norwoods which is complicated by a large number of families in the Thanet area.
