Notes: from Shelagh Mason Transcription Thomas Cooke was christened 25th Jun 1609, s. of William at Minster in Thanet. 31st Oct 1633 Thomas Cooke m. Martha Covell at Minster in Thanet. Their children (all christened at All Saints, Birchington): Those who died: Alice 12 Oct 1635 (Bu: 8 Aug 1637); Robert 9 Jul 1637 (Bu: 12 Oct 1640); Elizabeth 13 Nov 1642 (Bu: 20 Sep 1663); Martha 25 Mar 1645 (Bu: 16 Apr 1650); Those children who survived: Jane 14 Feb 1647; Alice 20 Sep 1649; Martha 2 Mar 1652; Mary 27 Jan 1655. Jane Cook, Sp., 17, d. of Thomas Cook, Husbandman of Birchington married Henry Gray, 22, Joiner of Birchington at Monkton on 31 Dec 1663. She appears to be dead before 11th Jan 1687. Alice Cook married John Mackney 4 Aug 1678 at Birchington; Martha Cook married Thomas Griggs 23 Dec 1677 at Birchington; Mary Cook, Sp. married Valentine Garrett, Ba., both of Birchington, at St. Andrew, Canterbury by Licence on 30 Apr 1685.
